A Few of My Favorite Things

Sharing is caring!

I am constantly being asked where I get / find the things I love and the things that I use that make my life easier or more efficient. I have personally tested multiple variations and brands of these products, and have landed on the BEST OF THE BEST for my family and our lifestyle.

Before scrolling through these fantastic products and resources, an important disclosure:

Some of these resources contain affiliate links, but rest assured they are all from companies I personally use, recommend and trust. There is no additional cost you, and in fact, often times when you use my link, you will save money with my exclusive discounts and coupons.

Health and Beauty:

Sweet Leaf Sweet Drops: Since I don’t like black coffee, I use these drops in my coffee or tea to give it a sweet hint, with zero carbs and zero effect on my blood sugar.

Keto Collagen Powder: I’ve used this in my coffee for months. It has virtually no flavor and makes my coffee creamy and delicious. It helps give me that morning boost I need to stay focused and awake throughout the day. The collagen really works. For my age, and the limited amount of “things” I do to myself, I give credit to using collagen daily.

Keto BHB Supplement: I love these because staying in Ketosis after years of a Keto diet can be challenging. This supplement induces and promotes ketosis, helping your body utilize fat for fuel, manage cravings, and improve mental clarity and focus. I’ve been taking them since Summer 2020 and I can honestly say that they help stabilize my weight, even if I have a cheat day here and there

B12 Patches: Having Celiac Disease, I try to take as many supplements as I can that don’t require absorption through the intestines. I’ve used patches for a long time and love having my vitamins absorb through my skin rather than wasting it through a pill.

Iron Patches: I’ve been anemic since I was a kid. NOTHING is worse than taking an iron pill. They mess with your bowels, make things very unsightly and can’t be taken at the same time as a lot of medications (my thyroid supplement). I started using patches for my iron, and they actually work! My iron levels are very healthy and I’m no longer anemic.

Multivitamin: I found these vitamins on the Root and Revel’s Whole Soul List. Being great for Thyroid Support, Stress Relief, Immune Support – Activated B Vitamins, Zinc, Selenium, Iodine – Rich in Nutrients and Minerals and Gluten-Free, they looked perfect! They don’t make you feel funny, but definitely prolong my energy throughout the day. I recommend EVERYONE take a great multivitamin. Our foods are so devoid of the vitamins and minerals our bodies need to function properly. With the high amount of stress we are all under these days, along with all the toxins in our foods, having a great daily vitamin is essential to our overall health and wellbeing.

Vitamin D3+K2: I have always been low on vitamin D, which usually comes along with having a malfunctioning or lack of thyroid. Vitamin D is essential for energy, immunity, bone and heart health. Also, hearing that one of the natural immunity boosters that fights the effects of covid being Vitamin D, I got my entire family on it.

Home Essentials

Brabantia Stackable Glass Food Storage Containers: Having everything visible, uniform, and stackable is extremely important to keeping my pantry organized. Having all of my baking and cooking essentials instantly visible keeps me from guessing what I need to buy from the store, or what we actually have. Combine with some cute chalkboard labels and you’ll love the look of your pantry!

Chalkboard Labels: Removing plastic from my house (as much as I can), I use glass jars and mason jars for everything. I also use glass tupperware from ikea with wood lids. I use these chalkboard labels on EVERYTHING! I love seeing what things are without dealing with marketing labels, and being able to write when something goes bad. No more guessing!

Beeswrap Food Wrap: Being committed to doing whatever I can to help the environment and eliminating as much plastic use as I can, I love having these beeswax food wraps around. If you have something sticky, simply use with parchment paper.

Wool Dryer Balls: Did you hear that your dryer sheets use animal fats to make your clothes soft? Did you hear that? Yeah… I’m out. Welcome wool dryer balls. For less than $10, you can keep your clothes smelling fresh and wrinkle-free. Just use a few drops of essential oils and you can make your own scent!

Rustic Farmhouse Wire Basket: Having open baskets, where I can see the contents, but are also stylish is essential for keeping my home organized. I use these at the top of my pantry to store backup flours, sugars, baking supplies, and backup of kids snacks. Feeding a family of 7, I have to have backups, but want it all organized and easy to find.

Milk Frother: Using collagen powder in my coffee every morning, I keep it from clumping by using this milk frother in my coffee. It also makes the milk and coffee frothy, which saves me from feeling like I need a Starbucks.

Cloth Dinner Napkins: On my continual quest to stop using disposable items that create needless trash, waste, and use our earth’s precious resources, I removed paper towels and paper napkins from our family’s regular routine. I bought these cloth napkins to replace those paper ones we had on our table. It took a bit for my family to get used to it, but now they love the feel of having a cloth napkin. Just wash and put back out. Easy.

Small Appliances

Cosori 12-in-1 Air Fryer Toaster Oven Combo: After hearing everyone talk about air fryers, the jokes about how one day you’re young and fun and then you’re excited about airfryers, I had to give them a try. I started with a small basket one, and was not impressed. It was really made for a single person, and wouldn’t make enough food to feed my family. Also, my sister kept bragging about making beef jerky, fruit-leather and rotisserie chicken, so I had to upgrade. I sold the small basket on on FB marketplace, and upgraded to this beauty. After using it for a few months, I took it to the lake to help with Thanksgiving dinner (since I only have a single oven there). I decided to keep it there, and ordered another. We use it at least every couple of days. It’s fantastic! And it looks pretty on the countertop.

KitchenAid Food Chopper 3.5 Cup; Ice Blue: This little food processor is perfect for small jobs, sauces and salsas. It’s perfect for hollandaise and salad dressing, with it’s pour spout top and easy handling.

Cusinart Ice Cream Maker: My family LOVES ice cream as a dessert, and I love controlling what chemicals and preservatives we put into our bodies, along with sugar consumption. Having this handy ice cream maker around makes it so easy to whip up a batch of 3/4 ingredient ice cream, that is low in sugar and made with simple ingredients.

Digital Kitchen Scale: I have become obsessed with weights for measuring vs cups. I was always scared when a recipe showed weight, but using this little scale makes it so much easier than measuring with cups. Just pour into your bowl until you hit the right amount. Easy. Done.

6″ tortilla maker: Making great gluten-free, keto friendly tortillas is a must for any mexican food lover. This little inexpensive tool makes it all possible.

Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL Centrifugal Juicer: When I started looking into juicing and implementing celery juice into my morning routine (there are so many benefits the Medical Medium talks about: Fight autoimmune disease, neutralizes and flushes toxins from the liver, restoring adrenal, fights bloating!), I researched a lot of different juicers. Knowing that I would need it to sit on my countertop versus bringing it out every morning, I knew I would need one that was pretty, functional and space saving. This is the one I settled on and I love it! It sits on my island, is super easy to clean, is an effective juicer, and keeps everything cool.
