A few years ago, I was watching videos on Instagram, searching out all the videos that created that sense of satisfaction; The one’s we love to say “wow, isn’t that satisfying?” In this video hunt, I came across someone creating alcohol ink and acrylic pour art. Watching the paints land on the surface, then the artist tips and moves the surface so the paint stretches and moves is something that will mesmerize you.

Then, one day, my super artsy sister said “I’m loving this alcohol ink and acrylic pour art”. I was excited I knew what she was talking about and a little unsettled that she beat me to the punch trying it out! 🙂 (Sister’s are never competitive, right?)

Well, I have to say, she has mastered the art. I have quite a few pieces she has sent me, and I love them all!

The most recent pieces she sent were trivets for my kitchen. I have a lot of hot pans coming out of my oven and off my stove, especially during the holidays, and I love having something fun to rest them on.
